Online learning becomes imperative!

The Covid-19 pandemic and the associated global lockdown have necessitated changes in human relations, including the teaching and learning environment. It is generally agreed that the world will not be the same again.  Accordingly, online teaching and learning are gradually taking the centre stage. For those interested in learning to improve or acquire new knowledge, and even for the joy of learning for living, you may wish to join the new way of life. Just like face-to-face methodology, you can develop skills, knowledge, and attributes or values through online teaching and learning. In the new milieu, blogs have become more attractive easily serving as course journals, forum for discussion, including group discussion, debates and information sharing, tool for students to participate and follow-up important class discussions. It also offers opportunity for instruction, distribution of materials for further reading, as well as evaluation and feedback. Class reps may become discussion leads, and which lead could be rotated among other students. Moreover, it could aid in transparent, and peer assessment or grading, and timely feedback to students.
